Located in Caddo Parish, Louisiana, the Village of Belcher was established in 1899. Originally called "Horseshoe" and later renamed “Belcher” in honor of John Belcher who owned the land, Belcher is home to a number of historic Louisiana sites and beautiful architecture.
Belcher Veterans Memorial Park
The Belcher Veterans Memorial Park is a tribute honoring American war veterans. Established in August 2002 by WWII veteran Wayland H. Greene and his wife, Jo Ann, the park features four black marble obelisks and eight brick-lined pathways leading to a central American flag.
